Senior from day one.
No junior-with-senior-badge. You're scoping engagements, designing the architecture, and shipping the build. The studio is small enough that everyone is doing real work, all the time.
Australian SMBs across five industries.
Trades, hospitality, real estate, law, medical. Mostly 5–50 person businesses. The work is varied, the constraints are real, and you'll talk to the people whose business depends on what you ship.
AI-first, never AI-only.
You are using Claude, GPT-4, Make, n8n, Convex, Next.js, Tailwind every day. You're also writing copy, designing components, and sitting in client ops meetings. The job is broad on purpose.
Quiet by design.
We don't run a Slack-tax office. Deep work is the default. Meetings happen because they have to, not because someone needs to feel busy. Output is what matters.

Are there open roles right now?
No formal openings. The studio grows slowly on purpose. We keep a thin list of people we'd want to work with and reach out when the work and the person line up.
What kind of person fits the studio?
Engineers and designers with at least 5 years of senior work, comfortable with the full stack (TypeScript, React, a backend, a workflow tool), and with strong written communication. Most importantly: care about the craft and the client outcome equally.
Remote, hybrid, or in person?
Remote-first across Australia. Occasional in-person sessions in Sydney or the Southern Highlands for specific engagements. We do not hire outside Australia.
How do I get on the list?
Send a note. Tell us what you've shipped, what you're proud of, and what kind of work you want next. We read every email and reply within a few days.
