FAQ
Frequently asked
How is a website build structured?
Phased: discovery and scope first, then design and build, then content, performance, and launch. We work in writing so the build does not drift. Timelines depend on scope, and we'll give you a realistic estimate after the discovery call.
Do you use templates or custom design?
Custom design grounded in a tight design system. Component-driven so changes stay quick and consistent. Mobile, tablet, desktop all considered from the start.
What technology do you use?
We work with what you already have where it makes sense, and recommend what's the best fit for your needs where it doesn't. Either way, the site is yours from day one: repository in your GitHub, hosting in your name, no lock-in.
Will the website be fast and accessible?
We aim for 90+ Lighthouse scores across performance, accessibility, best practices, and SEO. WCAG-aware components, fast on cheap phones and slow connections.
How long does a website take to build?
Most small business sites run four to eight weeks from the discovery call to launch. A one-page site for a sole trader is quicker; a larger site with booking, a blog, or multiple service pages takes longer. The two things that move the date are scope and how fast content and feedback come back from your side. We give you a realistic timeline after the discovery call and work to it in writing so the build does not drift.
Do I own my website when it is finished?
Yes, completely. The code sits in a repository under your GitHub account, the hosting and domain are in your name, and every third-party account is set up with your billing from day one. No lock-in, nothing to migrate if you ever move to another developer. You can take the whole thing and walk.
